Shelter SERVICES

Our Daily Bread is the only low-barrier shelter open seven days a week offering wraparound services for adults experiencing homelessness in Denton County. At the shelter we provide food, beds, clothing, hot showers, laundry, hygiene products, computer and phone access, mail services, and other supportive services for our guests. Shelter Guidelines

  1. No outside food or drinks

  2. Outside blankets, pillows, or stuffed animals are not permitted. Fresh linens will be provided daily.

  3. We are a drug, alcohol, weapon, and e-cigarette free facility.

8AM - 8 PM

Overnight Emergency Shelter
4PM - 8AM

A limited number of beds become available daily. You must be present to claim a bed unless previously verified by staff.

 

Shelter FAQs

  • Firstly, welcome! We are glad to have your here. Although beds are not guaranteed, there are a limited number available daily.

  • The overnight emergency shelter is open to individuals 18 years and older. Our low-barrier model allows us to not require a valid ID or background check.

  • To ensure you will keep your assigned bed for the week please make sure you are here on time for check-in.

    Check-in: 4pm-6pm

    Leaving after check-in will forfeit your bed.

  • If you are unable to make the check-in time due to your work schedule please meet with an Our Daily Bread staff member to verify your work schedule for accommodations.

  • Because Our Daily Bread is a low barrier shelter, children are not allowed to stay overnight at the shelter. However, families and children are welcome to receive day time services such as meals, collecting hygiene items, etc.
